Under the FSDS, WD is committed to investing in the commercialization and adoption of clean energy and clean water technologies.
WD pursues these commitments through the technology commercialization and innovation capacity building Sub-Program Areas, through which it supports projects that increase the number of western Canadian technologies brought to market.
Technology commercialization and innovation capacity building are components of WD’s Business Development and Innovation Program Area, a collection of sub-programs that promote a stronger knowledge-based western economy.
Together with two other Program Areas, including community economic growth, and policy, advocacy and coordination, WD furthers the strategic outcome of a growing and diversified western economy.
